Firehouse Trip

Stop, Drop, and Roll

Fairview Engine Company Number 1

A Special Thank You to our Brave and Compassionate Firefighters

On November 13, 2019 Ms. Culler's and Mr. Walsh's classes took a field trip to the Fairview Engine Company Number 1 located in Greenburgh, New York. We are proud of our student, James Falco-Ball, a fellow volunteer at the firehouse, as he initiated this visit and led our tour with Fire Fighters: Chief Howard Reiss, Captain Eugene Malone IV, Ralph Crump,  Brian Vargas, Matthew Lowrey, Matthew Keane, and Peter Poveromo. All the students and staff truly appreciated the time these fine heroes took to educate us about their careers, fire-safety, specialized equipment, and their gear. We were even treated to treats provided by the Firemen in the station-house's  kitchen and dining room. Their kindness warmed our hearts.

We continued our fun school outing at Gianfranco Pizzeria and Restaurant where we all enjoyed a delicious luncheon in the main dining room.
