Teachers work around a large table in a conference room

Rye Lake Middle/High School staff came together this week to prepare for the arrival of students on September 8. During Superintendent’s Conference Days, faculty and staff participated in collaborative activities designed to strengthen relationships, build shared understanding, and prepare for a successful start to the 2026–2027 school year.

As part of our “Who We Are” activities, staff worked in teams to reflect on the unique qualities of the Rye Lake community and share their knowledge of the school’s Therapeutic Support Program. Through small-group discussions and presentations, staff explored important aspects of our program, our students, and the practices that help create a supportive learning environment. Staff also had an opportunity to learn more about one another, celebrate the experiences and strengths they bring to Rye Lake, and establish shared expectations for collaboration and communication.

The energy throughout the sessions reflected many of the values we want to carry into the new school year: positive relationships, collaboration, consistent communication and expectations, optimism, and a commitment to celebrating the success of every student.

We look forward to welcoming our students back to Rye Lake on September 8 and beginning a wonderful year of learning and growth together!
