On Thursday, September 17, 2026, SWBOCES at Rochambeau MS/HS Program celebrated Open School Day, a special opportunity for parents and guardians to experience a day in the life of their middle and/or high school student.

During this event, parents and guardians followed their young adult’s daily schedule (truncated), attend classes alongside them, and met their teachers. It was a wonderful opportunity to gain a firsthand understanding of the instructional program, classroom expectations, school expectations, and the engaging learning experiences students enjoy each day.

Principal Julia Dolan noted, “Open School Day was designed to strengthen the partnership between home, school, and our district partnership with White Plains by giving families an authentic glimpse into our school community.” During sixth period, students, parents, and staff from both Rochambeau and SWBOCES gathered at a luncheon to celebrate this milestone event.
