That support is worthy of thanks and recognition.

The  American Dreamer Awards luncheon, held for the 32nd time on May 22, 2025, at the Career Services Campus in Valhalla, brought together SWBOCES educators and administrators to honor individuals who have contributed from the heart to enhance the educational experience of students.Students in the Culinary Arts program, under the direction of Chefs John Damiani and Omar Laaraj, prepared a buffet lunch and dessert. Board of Education Members Nilesh Jain, Dr. Joan Weber, Eileen Miller and Lynn Frazer-McBride. Director of Special Services Jessica Walker and Assistant Director Dr. Alexandria Connally presided over the ceremony.

Honorees span from employees of local businesses that partner with student programs to district staff that go beyond the call to support students. They are first responders, government employees and private citizens answering the call as community partners. Everyone has given time, energy and resources
